The Position: The PLM Manager’s primary function is to manage all facets of the PLM environment at Great Dane including data interfaces to other corporate systems.
The Configuration Engineer is responsible for designing specific product configuration logic and categories – i.e. trailer body, electrical exterior, refrigeration, suspension, rear doors etc. - in the 3D CAD environment that accurately reflects and produces solid models and production quality drawings. Configuration engineer will use product features and option selection codes to build highly diverse product configurations selections that will produce all desired results for Materials to procure inventory, Manufacturing to build the product and ultimately Sales to present the correct finished product to each customer. Under the direction of the Plant Manager and the Director of Industrial Engineering, the Lean Operational Excellence Leader is a leader in Lean Implementation and continuous improvement efforts in all five phases of Lean. The Lean Operational Excellence Leader mentors operational and support group leaders in Lean deployment and implementation, problem solving methodology and supports change management in the cascading of Lean through the facility. The Lean Operational Excellence Leader is the facility operating processes subject matter expert, who ensures all processes are documented, lean, and capable while monitoring for compliance amongst all groups and coordinating Lean Metric Reporting.
System engineer is responsible for assisting with the maintenance of the PLM environment, the integrity of the data contained therein, and supporting the user community. Systems engineer is also responsible for staying current with industry trends and information technology enhancements in order to ensure that the Engineering environment and practices continues to evolve.

The Industrial Engineer is responsible for developing, documenting, and owning trailer manufacturing and associated processes through the utilization of lean manufacturing principles. The Senior Industrial Engineer is also responsible for evaluating existing manufacturing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve productivity and develop best practices within the production process. He/she will provide ergonomic analysis and risk mitigation to improve the safety of defined work.
