THE ROLE

The Position: Provide the highest quality distribution network to ensure excellence in customer satisfaction and superior market penetration within assigned territory. Facilitate sales of Great Dane trailers through independent Great Dane Dealerships. Mange customer relationships and serve as a conduit for communication between Great Dane Trailers and its distribution network. Coordinate all items associated with the selling process to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Geographically define the demographics of the assigned marketplace and create a plan to identify all
potential dealer customers.
• Strategically, develop, execute, and manage sales plans which include setting sales goals and forecasts by
dealerships.
• Manage performance feedback to assigned dealers.
• Identify dealer issues and collaborate in improvement solutions.
• Communicate key issues, trends and plans to senior management.
• Develop and maintain positive long-term relationships with all dealers.
• Ensure dealers have all information on our sales programs, including pricing, products, promotions, contract
and special pricing.
• Analyze dealer financial data and execute actions plans to bring Dealer sales results.
• Identify & evaluate potential long-term market opportunities for the GD Product.
• Serve as Primary liaison between assigned Dealer Principal/Owner and Great Dane.
• Identify & maintain dealer accounts and reinforce their purchase decisions by continually offering them
solutions to their changing environment.
• Proactively improve distribution network through continuous improvement of existing network.
• Other duties as assigned.
Your skills and abilities (required qualifications)
• Education: bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years sales manager experience.
• Skills: Utilize existing prospecting tools to help dealers develop new customers. This would include customer
visits, telemarketing, computer-based marketing tools, and email.
• Negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage profitability.
• Team building skills.
• Travel: Attend and participate in local and national trade shows.
