Overview

Responsible for supporting the HR department with employee payroll processing, as well as general administration of Human Resources policy requirements among second shift employees. Held accountable for completing an assortment of HR administrative tasks and assisting employees with HR related problems or questions.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring employee’s times are coded and approved correctly in order to process the weekly payroll.
  • Responsible for maintaining and tracking attendance in compliance with the corporate Attendance Policy.
  • Entering data into payroll and administrative databases utilizing Kronos and Oracle.
  • Track and administer medical leaves such as FMLA, ADA, and disability.
  • Handle daily requests from hourly employees related to HR support functions.
  • Assist and support the Human Resource Department by completing and/or participating in additional activities including, but not limited to, employee investigations, onboarding, benefits, recruitment, disciplinary action employee engagement/activities, document filing, etc.
  • Function as the HR representative for employees on 2nd shift and act as a liaison between Operations and HR.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Schedule: Must be able to work a unique schedule of day shift on Monday, and split-shift on Tuesday through Thursday. Great Dane offers a four-day standard work week.
  • Education: High school diploma/GED.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience with payroll practices and associated HRIS systems such as Oracle and UKG (Kronos) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High numerical aptitude and Microsoft Office experience.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
